Sound card Sound Blaster MP3 + is available in computer stores at a manufacturer’s recommended retail price of $59.99. But, frankly speaking I can hardly imagine quite strong arguments in favour of buying Sound Blaster MP3 +. Judge for yourself, in most cases, both portable and desktop computers originally have an integrated audio subsystem, which is usually served by a six-channel codec like Realtek ALC650 (test results of the codec can be found in this article). And in this regard, Sound Blaster MP3 + is a mere two-channel sound card … In addition, $60 is rather pricey to interest the mass buyer. The novelty may be in demand for, perhaps, those users who need to extend the functionality of their computer’s with the optical input and output (e.g. for connecting the Dolby Digital decoder).
